Experience and Accolades:

  • Aaran has previous experience with Smart-Write 11 Plus Tuition in which he has tutored students through their 11 Plus exams and independent secondary school entrance exams, and others up to GCSE level in Maths and Sciences.
  • Aaran has been a high achiever throughout his academic career, having achieved distinctions and starred distinctions in the first three years of his course at university as well as gaining 11A*s and 4A*s in GCSE and A-level respectively.
  • At Bablake School, where he completed his secondary education, Aaran assisted in running the medical extension programme and served as a BMAT teaching assistant, coaching applicants through one of the most competitive medicine admissions tests, and now he himself sits in as a student panelist for the Imperial College medicine admissions interviews.
  • Having been very successful in his own 11 Plus admissions tests, Aaran received academic scholarships to both Bablake School and Princethorpe College.
  • As current Roadshow Officer for Imperial College School of Medicine Vision he has organised outreach sessions for a range of disadvantaged medical applicants from a variety of schools and has run small group teaching sessions and mock interviews at their annual conference .
  • Aaran has a passion for teaching, delivering student society organised tutorials covering topics from the early years of the medicine course at Imperial, and he has been a peer tutor for the Imperial Year 1 Medicine Communication Skills course in which he facilitated the training sessions and provided feedback on student performance.

Aside from Work:

  • Aaran enjoys playing a role in enhancing the student community and co-ordinating events at Imperial, he was the president of the Imperial College Hindu Society and now takes up the role of events officer for Imperial College Endocrinology Society.
  • In his spare time, Aaran volunteers with Saving Londoners’ Lives in which he teaches basic life support skills to school children across a range of age groups and backgrounds.
