Experience and Accolades:

  • For his outstanding achievement in A-levels and GCSE’s, William was awarded the Shepherd Eastwood Prize and a Harrison’s Scholarship respectively by his school.
  • Whilst studying for his A-levels, William spent time voluntarily tutoring younger students working towards their Maths GCSE’s and also helping students with reading at a local primary school.
  • During his second year of university, William was his college’s subject representative for Natural Sciences, providing help and guidance to first years as they began their university education.
  • In addition to his school studies, William has taken part in numerous national maths and science competitions, consistently achieving gold awards in Maths, Physics and Chemistry challenges and olympiads.
  • William has also spent time as a youth leader at both a local youth club and for the scouting organisation, organising workshops, games and activities for children aged 10 to 14.
  • Whilst in sixth form, William won the Ogden trust's Young Physicist of the Year award after being nominated by his school's Physics department.

Aside from Work:

  • As a member of the Cambridge University Air Squadron, William is learning how to fly the Grob Tutor aircraft, along with taking part in numerous teamwork, leadership and adventurous training activities.
  • In his free time William also enjoys sports, having played for his college’s football and hockey teams whilst at University and as a member of his local cycling club at home.
