Experience and Accolades:

  • Leah is a keen academic, having completed her undergraduate degree as a Foundation Scholar of Clare College, Cambridge and having duly earned a first class in preclinical medicine with neuroscience.
  • As a former Welfare Officer for her college’s MedVet society, Leah provided pastoral support for other medical students surrounding her.
  • Previously, Leah has taught primary school students Piano up to grade 2 level – otherwise she was a pianist at Christian Science Church in which she accompanied the hymns.
  • Leah has plenty of experience working in a variety of voluntary and non-voluntary roles; she has covered roles from being a steward at Oakwood Park, a horse showground, to assisting consultants and other medical professionals in Pembury Hospital.
  • As President of Clare Sound, her Cambridge college’s sound society, Leah co-ordinated the provision of technicians and equipment for events within and outside of the University.
  • Being a keen designer, Leah enacted her talents having been on the Design Committee for Clare May Ball in which she worked with her team to create the publicity materials for one of the largest events in the country.

Aside from Work:

  • Leah’s fondness of music extends far – she is a published composer, having written “A Broken Dream”, which was published in “Simplified Music Notation”.
  • In line with her roots, Leah is bilingual; she is fluent in English and Danish.
